Time is going by so quickly - how are we almost half way through the year already?!
What's been happening so far in 2018
My baby girl turned one in February. It feels like ages ago now but we all had a wonderful day. Luckily her birthday fell on a Saturday so we had family over to ours for a little party on the day and then the following week she had afternoon tea with her friends from my antenatal group, which was lovely.
Towards the end of February we went down to Dorset for 5 days for a little break. We stayed in a gorgeous woodland park in a cosy lodge. Unfortunately we had really heavy snow on our 4th day so set off home a little early. It was a scary drive back to Kent but Danny expertly navigated us home.
At the start of March I returned to work. I do continue to struggle with mum guilt every day but it was awful at first. I literally went back full time straight away so it was a shock to us all. I'm more into a routine now but I have enormous respect for working mummy's, especially full time because it is bloody hard!
Since then, life has been ticking by with not much happening beyond working and really valuing my weekends for family time. I make the most of every free second I have to be with my little pickle.
